Brief Introduction
Hello, my name is Jacky and I am a grade 8 student currently attending Collingwood school. Some of my favorite things to do are basketball, writing, and public speaking. At my school, I made it to the Speak Week finals with a speech on the lack of representation of Canadian college basketball players. When I was asked to take part in this project, I was excited, since I could get to research and help a group of people who were neglected, underrepresented, and exploited for hundreds of years. I saw this as a learning opportunity not only for me, and a chance to put my writing and speaking skills to use for the greater good.
